I was hit by a car today on my way to schools. lol. The car basiclly bumped into my bike and that made me lose my balance so I toppled over. I only scrapped my knee and it wasn't even bleeding. No my parents are probably gonna force me to ride the bus. nooo....

One time a kid on a bike hit my car while I was stopped at a red light. Totally opposite your situation, odd isn't it? I still have a dent in the side of my car though, I hope that didn't happen to you ^^;

My principal was riding his bike to school in July and got hit by a car. He had brain swelling and a bunch of broken ribs. He still isn't back in school.
=( He was the best principal ever.

Okay, I just saw in the paper today that two bicyclists were hit by a bus and killed in my town. I hope I'm not being insensitive in asking this but why don't bicyclists watch for cars when they're out riding? It's not very smart to pull into the road on a bicycle without looking (that's what they said happened in the newspaper today). Obviously the driver needs to be alert as well but cars are big heavy machines and they can be hard to stop quickly. It seems like anyone in a smaller vehicle would use more caution to protect themselves. Take your time, look both ways etc. :/

surfgirl - I'm sorry to hear about your principal, that's really awful. I hope he can recover soon.
